Built for the home of an art collector,this bookcase in black lacquer was designed to showcase a significant piece. Close-up of crown molding detail The arched raised panels in the doors mirror the arch in the center section above them. The columns with stopped flutes were inspired by examples seen at the home of the noted American sculptor Augustus St.Gaudens in Cornish, New Hampshire.

Integrated Maple Bookcase:

The design of this maple bookcase, as well as its stained and lacquered finish, match existing kitchen cabinetry in the same room. The doors and side panels feature beaded face frames and an applied molding. This photo shows the maple bookcase with a matching mantle shelf installed next to it.

Reading Nook:
